Turnado - Collet Chucks and Additional Items

These extended ER32 Collet Chucks are the ideal method of workholding with the Turnado as they allow you to use the tool post around the centre of the table rather than the edge.

The closing nut has been modified to minimize catch points and the chuck body incorporate two rings of 10 and 12  holes for simple indexing. There are three larger holes for tightening using the supplied tommy bar.  

Three types of ER32 Collet Chucks are available which are a direct fit on the nose of several popular makes of lathe. 

For other makes of lathe the ER32 extender can be screwed directly onto the front of any flange/backplate type ER32 collet chuck allowing you to extend the workpiece out over the work table.

Please note.

These collet chucks are primarily designed to enhance the capabilities of the Turnado system.

Whilst we have machined them as accurately as we possibly can on a custom fixture, you will be screwing them onto a spindle thread that may be worn or damaged from multiple years of use. 
So combined with the extended length, a runout within 1-2 thou is quite possible.

Please be realistic with your expectations and if you need accuracy within a few tenths or microns other options may be more suitable for you.
